About Us

In April 2003 Montana's Saloon was established in Conroe, Texas. Richie Somerville and Tina McMahan—tired of the corporate world and keen on the bar scene—decided to purchase Montana's in Conroe, Texas in April of 2004. As the corporate world grew even worse, Richie and Tina wanted to bail out for good. With no savings and only multiple credit lines, they decided to build their second location in Humble Texas. The Humble location opened in April 2005. In October 2007 they purchased four acres and the old Hitchin' Post bar in Moonshine Hill Texas, just east of Humble. New Years Eve 2007 was the grand opening of Moonshine Hill Saloon. Two months later in the first week of February 2008, Montana's Bar and Grill in the small town of Splendora opened.

If you like celebrities, you might like to know that our saloons have been graced with the presence of Willie Nelson, Larry Butler, Kris Kristoferson and many others. At our Humble location, George Forman's daughter once sang karaoke with us. Our good friend and legacy fighting champion, Patrick Hutton, comes each week for our famous steak night on Moonshine Hill. You history buffs will love to know that in the 1930's Moonshine Hill Saloon was called The Bird Cage and legend has it that Bonnie & Clyde visited.

We feature great drink specials, karaoke singing, pool tables, darts, eight-liners, tournaments, touch-screen table-top games, horse shoes and more. There are plenty of TV's for the sports fans. For details about activities, visit the the pages for each location: Conroe, Humble, Moonshine Hill and Splendora.

Montana's are great neighborhood bars. We like to think of each one as a "modern day Cheers". Please come and visit! We know you won't be a stranger for long.
